Welcome to the online home of the UNLV College Republicans!

I encourage you to take some time and check out all the information we've included here, from press releases to news stories, including some information on who we are and what we do.

The College Republicans was founded in 1892 at the University of Michigan. Today, the organization represents over 200,000 members on more than 1,500 campuses nationwide. Through recruiting, training, mobilizing and engaging college-aged students in all 50 states and Washington D.C., the College Republicans are an invaluable part of the Republican Party and conservative movement.

Here at UNLV, we focus our efforts on representing young conservative values, informing others about our issues, and engaging our peers in thoughtful political discourse. We hope to achieve our goals through our general meetings with high-profile guest speakers, informal social events, a constant presence on campus, special member-only events, and joint events with other student organizations.

We are also committed to increasing the voice of young Republicans and conservatives in the Clark County and Nevada Republican Parties. The UNLV College Republicans have a good working relationship with many GOP clubs and organizations in Las Vegas, and participate in Republican Party events such as the Lincoln Day Dinner and GOP conventions.

Ultimately, our goal is to provide a place for Republican students to organize, meet each other, and get involved in the political process. By giving these students a strong foundation of support, we will help spread a conservative message on campus, grow the Republican Party, and elect Republican candidates to office.

Starting in 2011, we now offer three levels of membership in our club. General membership, for those students enrolled at UNLV; Associate membership, for students at other Nevada colleges; and for the first time a Supporting membership for non-students who wish to be part of our organization, and help us achieve our goals.

I sincerely hope you will take the time to find out more about the UNLV College Republicans. We welcome everyone to our meetings and social events, and I am always available should anyone wish to speak with me directly about the organization, our objectives, or politics in general.
